Pastoe - the Dock
Working from home, playing, eating and living at one and the same table. But then without unnecessary items getting in the way. Kommerkors has started a project with furniture brand Pastoe to design a new range of tables that makes this possible. Kommerkors was on the hunt for a table where you can easily and silently switch between different functions in your living room.
This design process has resulted in a true living table, the “Dock”, which can be a stylish centrepiece of the house. During the day, it may look businesslike. Superfluous bits and pieces can easily and quickly be stowed away in the compartments and drawer of the slim storage space under the top. In this way, the office atmosphere can be magicked round immediately for a meeting with friends or family.
The table looks simple; but the construction is far from easy. A lot of time was put into finding the right structure. The result is a carefully thought-out timeless table. Made to age slowly and beautifully, entirely in accordance with the Pastoe philosophy and fitting within the vision of Kommerkors.
