Harvink - de Donk
Harvink recently came out with a new sofa: The Donk. A design by Kommerkors with a characteristic tubular frame, the Harvink trademark. The Donk is a calm-looking sofa with cushion parts that rest in a modestly designed frame. By placing this frame on the outside, the more massive parts of the piece of furniture look like they are floating. The Donk is a real piece of furniture to live with; the upholstery, for example, can be zipped off and that makes it easy to wash.
Harvink was one Kommerkors’s first clients: as far back as 1998, there was a already a modest collaboration. After that, Kommerkors began designing for many more furniture factories in the Netherlands and Germany. Kommerkors is delighted with the recent resumption of the collaboration with Harvink: a truly Dutch company with their production entirely in the Netherlands, located just round the corner from the Kommerkors studio.
