Albert Heijn: Beesie
Kommerkors regularly designs striking promotional free gifts for Albert Heijn, the leading food retailer in the Netherlands. For the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Kommerkors thought up and developed “Beesie”.
TBWA created the very successful marketing campaign. Miles Promocean was in charge of production.
Beesie was the largest ever merchandising campaign in the Netherlands. More than 30 million small Beesies, 750,000 large Beesies and 250,000 Beesie caps were produced. It was the most successful World Cup campaign of 2010 and led to a large increase in sales: Albert Heijn customers who collected Beesies spent on average over 26 percent more than normal.
